Stacie Davis, Student Council President, is a 4th-year dental student from St. Louis, MO who has centered her life based on Martin Luther King’s quote “Be the Change you wish to see” at an early age. In 2019 she received her Bachelor’s in Biological Sciences and a minor in Business from the University of Missouri- Columbia aka, Mizzou. Before matriculating into Howard University College of Dentistry (HUCD) she was fortunate enough to work as a dental assistant for 3 years and build her dental knowledge early. As President of the HUCD Student Council, Stacie hopes that through her and her team's leadership that she will assist in taking HUCD Higher in all avenues this upcoming school year. After graduation, Stacie hopes to work in the DMV area and advocate for oral health equity, equality, and workforce diversity. She also hopes to educate and treat holistically underserved patients as a public health dentist. Stacie enjoys traveling, karaoke, watching sports, painting, watching movies, and playing golf in her free time.
Clifton Enlers, Student Council Vice President, is a third-year dental student from Arlington, VA who is driven and dedicated to serving the community around him. Clifton graduated from the University of Alabama in 2021 with a B.S. in biology and a B.A. in Studio Art. Clifton has been active in the dental field since his childhood and has been getting more and more involved in the field throughout the years. Clifton aspires to use all the skills and experiences he has garnered to have a greater impact on his communities.
Noah Williams, Student Council Secretary, is a second-year dental student from Ponchatoula, LA with a commitment to service, leadership, and education. Noah is a 2022 graduate of the Xavier University of Louisiana, where he earned a B.S. in Biology and developed an interest in public health. In the future, Noah aspires to provide dental services to communities that are often overlooked and underserved. Noah has a personal mission to use his talents, treasures, and time to contribute to a more just and humane society. Noah lives by the quote, “Where you sit determines what you see, and what you see determines what you do".
Henny Shelton, Student Council Treasurer, is a dedicated and passionate individual hailing from the vibrant city of New Orleans, Louisiana. As a third-year dental student, Henny's commitment to his studies and his unwavering desire to make a difference in people's lives is truly inspiring. Henny's educational journey began at Louisiana State University, where he pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences with a minor in psychology and a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of New Orleans.
Inspired by the words of Booker T. Washington, "If you want to lift yourself up, lift up someone else," Henny is deeply committed to serving others and making a positive impact on the lives of underserved populations.
Nnamelu Akunne, Howard University Student Assembly Senator, is a motivated and committed third-year dental student from Houston, Texas. Nnamelu is a 2019 graduate from the University of Houston, where he earned a B.S in Biochemistry. Nnamelu is very focused on giving back to the community, very passionate about mentorship, and understands that paying it forward is the best way to thank those that paved the path for you. Nnamelu has a vision of providing care to those in need regardless of circumstance and serving to inspire and encourage others to achieve their goals and dreams as well.
Jaliyl Jones, Howard University Student Association Senator, is an ambitious and driven second-year dental student hailing from the great Baltimore, MD, home of the illustrious Ravens football team. Jaliyl is a 2020 graduate of Towson University, where he earned a B.S. in Biology with a concentration in Cell and Molecular Biology. Jaliyl's love and passion for dentistry stems from all areas of his life, both the ups and the downs. His goal is to express his passion for dentistry in a creative and artistic way while serving his community wholeheartedly, and being a mentor for youth, like himself, for a lifetime to come.
