Commencement

Each May, commencement ceremonies are held on Howard University's main campus. The Commencement Convocation celebrates the accomplishments of all graduating students from degree-granting programs across the University. The College of Dentistry's Hooding and Awards Ceremony, as well as the Hygiene Pinning Ceremony, also occur during Commencement Week Activities.

A Dental Hygiene Pinning Ceremony will take place

11 a.m. Friday,  May 10th

Howard University Hospital Auditorium

The College of Dentistry's Honors & Oath Ceremony  will take place

2:30 p.m. Friday,  May 10th

Cramton Auditorium- Howard University's campus

​

The University's Commencement Convocation will take place

10 a.m. Saturday,  May 13th

Main Quadrangle- Howard University's campus

Limited tickets are provided to the Graduates

Post Doctoral Commencement and Recognition Ceremony will take place

June 28th

Armour J. Blackburn Center

Howard University's campus

3:00 p.m.

​

Tickets will be distributed by the graduate to the people he/she would like to invite in the weeks leading up to the event.   Currently, graduates may expect ten tickets (children age 3 and up included) for the Honors & Oath Convocation and 4 for the Commencement Convocation.
