The Office of Student Affairs

The Office of Student Affairs (OSA) assists students throughout their matriculation at the College of Dentistry.  We are available to guide and offer services by collaborating with professionals within the  Howard University community by helping with issues relating to student pre-doctoral and hygiene admissions, financial aid, academic progress and support, personal advisement, career planning, and post-doctoral application processes.

Andrea Jackson, D.D.S., M.S., FACP, FACD, FICD

Dean

Dr. Jackson completed both her bachelor of science degree in zoology, and doctor of dental surgery degree (DDS degree) at Howard University. She then completed a certificate in general dentistry at Howard University Hospital, and certificate and Master of Science degree in prosthodontics at Georgetown University School of Dentistry.

Through more than 30 years of service at Howard University, Dr. Jackson has served in positions of increasing responsibility at the college including most recently as interim dean, Associate Dean of Clinical Affairs and Professor and Chair of the Department of Prosthodontics.

Donna Grant-Mills, R.D.H., M.Ed., D.D.S., FACD, FICD

Professor and Associate Dean of Student Affairs 

Dr. Grant-Mills consistently brings a passion and dedication with her role as Associate Dean of Student Affairs for the College of Dentistry. She aids our future professionals in gaining leadership skills, professionalism, and ethics. Her love for students and work never goes unnoticed.

Reginald O. Salter, D.D.S., M.B.A., Ph.D., F.I.C.D.

Assistant Professor, Director of Admissions, Student Activities & Programs

Amazingly energetic and driven, Dr. Salter quickly became one of the most beloved faculty members at Howard University College of Dentistry. He works with Student Leaders and College of Dentistry Ambassadors by overseeing all student activities, organizations, advising, HUCD programs, and ensures compliance with the policies stated in the student handbook.  He is also responsible for recruitment and admissions programs in the College of Dentistry.

Loved by HUCD students and faculty alike, Mrs. Nixon-Willis serves as the point of contact for all activities related to acceptance and enrollment in the dental programs.
